Aravind Adiga, October 23, 1974, Dr. K. He was born in Chennai to Madhava Adiga and Usha Adiga. Arvind Adiga, who has combined excellent language and writing skills, is the recipient of Britain’s most prestigious literary award, the Mann Booker Prize. He completed his schooling at Canara High School and St. Aloysius High School in Mangalore. He was the first student in the state to pass the SSLC examination in 1990 and his elder brother Anand Adika was the second student to pass. In addition, he passed the PUC examination as the first student in the state.
As his family moved to Sydney, Australia, he began his studies at “James Rousseau Agricultural High School.” He then studied “English Literature” at Columbia University in New York (USA). After graduating in 1997, he attended Magdalen College in Oxford, where he studied under Hermione Lee, president of the Wolfson College (Oxford) Niwat.

What the novel says is ‘born in a village and grows up in poverty and is themed around the attitude and outlook of someone who is a bit illiterate and then his development in the civilized world’. He has presented it in a very beautiful style mixed with anger, dream and humor. He also described the plight of the poor in India’s recent economic growth.

He presented a portion of the prize money as a token of gratitude to St. Aloysius College, which had created him. This amount is being used to provide assistance to a child living in poverty at the “Aloysian Boys’ Home”.
