Honor Play 5 price in India: The Honor brand has now teamed up with the Honor Play 5 smartphone in the mid-range 5G smartphone segment. Following the long-running leak of this smartphone, it has now been officially launched in China. This device comes with a Dimension City 800U processor and features similar to those found on the Huawei Nova 8 SE phone. As for the key features, it features 66W quick charging technology and a 64MP quad-camera system.
Honor Play 5 unveiled with Dimensity 800U and 66W charging
The Honor Play 5 supports FHD + resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a 6.53 inch OLED display. The device has a water drop notch and a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. It has slim bezels at all corners.
Under the hood, the Honor Play 5 Mali G57 GPU uses a Tymancity 800U processor integrated. The processor is also integrated with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage configuration. It runs with Android 10. The device is installed with the Magic UI4.0 interface.
In terms of camera setup, the Honor Play 5 uses a quad-lens system with a 64 MP main sensor on the back. The main camera is mated to an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2 MP macro sensor, and 2 MP depth sensor. The waterdrop notch area has a 16 MP camera for selfies and video calling.
Connectivity options besides 5G network support include dual SIM support, USB Type-C port, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 3,800 mAh battery unit. This device also supports 66W quick charging technology.
The Honor Play 5 is priced at 2,099 yuan (approximately Rs. 23,862) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model in China. The high-end 256GB model will be priced at 2,299 (approximately Rs. 25,336). The device will be available in China from May 26 in black and purple.
Currently, Honor has not released the availability of Play 5 for the Indian market and the rest of the region. But details about its release are expected to be released soon.
