The third Test between India and England will be played at the Mother Ground in Ahmedabad. This will be the 100th Test match between Indian cricket team fast bowler Ishant Sharma. This made Ishant Sharma the second Indian fast bowler to play in 100 Tests on the international stage.
Earlier, former India captain Kapil Dev was the only Indian fast bowler to play in 100 Tests for India. Ishant Sharma was felicitated by Indian President Ramnath Govind and Indian soldiers. Before the match, President Ramnath Govind presented a memento to Ishant Sharma. Similarly, the Indian players lined up and paid their respects.

This was followed by the introduction of Indian soldiers one by one to Indian Captain Virat Kohli, President Ramnath Govind, and Minister Amit Shah. After this, the match started. Ishant Sharma took the first wicket for India in this match. England then lost every wicket in a row and was bowled out for 112 in the first innings.
