Mammootty: Mammootty was born on September 7, 1951, in Chembu, Kottayam district in the Indian state of Kerala to a Muslim family, the son of Ismail and Fatima. His given name is Mohammad Kutty.
After 1960, his family migrated to Ernakulam. He completed his primary education at St. Albert’s School and Ernakulam Government School and started his degree at Maharaja’s College, Kochi. Later, he studied law at the Government Law College, Ernakulam and studied law at Manjeri for two years.
