The demand for technology professionals in India was already high prior to the global pandemic. Now, thanks to an increase in the adoption of digital technology during the COVID-19 crisis, the growth of technology sectors in the country has increased in pace.
For this reason, more tech jobs are expected to be created in India this year than ever before. This is in contrast to the overall economy which has been seriously adversely affected by fallout from the pandemic. Several technology sectors are playing their part in this boom.
Gaming and casino gaming
According to KPMG, the gaming market in India is expected to grow 113% by 2025. This predicted growth would result in revenue of INR 290 billion ($3.91 billion) in 2025. The number of players is also expected to grow from 433 million now to 657 million by 2025.
These figures cover several areas of the gaming industry such as “casual” games, fantasy sports, and casino games. In the case of casino games, the growth of new casino game sites, such as the examples from here, could be enhanced further if more states legalise new online casinos in India.
