A Chartered Accountancy (CA) course prepares individuals with the requisite knowledge of accountancy principles, concepts, and standards. There is no age limit for CA, so students can pursue CA after graduation also.

The duration of this course for the graduate students will be reduced by 6 months, as they don’t have to give the Foundation exams. Moreover, the Chartered Accountant Course fees after graduation is around 76000 to 80,000.

This blog post will describe how to become CA after graduation, including the direct scheme, eligibility, CA after graduation process, timeframe, and CA Course Fees.

Is CA After Graduation a Good Career?

Any student interested in pursuing a career in auditing and taxation can opt for the CA course after graduation. We are all well aware that the path to becoming CA is challenging, yet it is equally rewarding. Hence, students put in their best efforts.

1. Chartered Accountancy provides Exceptional Flexibility

The Chartered Accountant profession gives a great deal of freedom as a career choice. Additionally, there are several job choices and paths available to CAs. Almost all organizations need financial expertise regardless of their size or industry.

So this enables CAs to function in several industries. Additionally, the training provided by the CA After Graduation enables individuals to adapt to and operate in any industry.

2. Increasing demand for CA professions

It is almost unlikely for a CA to be employed. In India, where commerce and entrepreneurship are thriving, there is a growing need for competent CAs. So this is because they can oversee accounting and finances to maintain a profitable and long-running company.

3. Early Stage Earnings

A CA often begins their profession in their early 20s, and even throughout the article-ship time, an applicant can get a stipend. Consequently, this job choice provides a solid financial base from an early stage, laying a stable foundation for the future.

4. A great Career Prospect for Global Opportunities

Chartered Accountancy is also an excellent career choice for people interested in pursuing an international career. Chartered Accountants are in high demand not just in India yet also overseas.

In addition to CA, applicants may earn internationally-recognized certifications and professional credentials in relevant disciplines. So this will provide them with extra skills for gaining good prospects overseas.

5. Lucrative and Impressive CA Packages

When selecting a job path, salary, compensation, and other perks are crucial. The remuneration of a CA is rather attractive compared to those of other professions and is also one of the nation’s highest-paid professions. Furthermore, a CA After Graduation can earn between Rs. 8-10 LPA, and one may make much more with experience.

6. Broader Horizons

A CA can work in any industry, starting their practice, engaging in entrepreneurship, coaching, consulting, and even taking over the management of an organization. Moreover, opportunities abound and are lucrative. In terms of compensation, there is no restriction when you become an experienced Chartered Accountancy.

You may also become a Financial officer, Senior account executive, Business analyst, etc.

CA Course Eligibility After Graduation

So there are three ways to get into CA. Let us know the eligibility to enrol for the CA Course after graduation.

So the eligibility for CA after graduation includes:

  • If the student’s undergraduate or graduate degree is in a Commerce-related subject, they require a percentage 55%.
  • However, the eligibility for CA after graduation is different for other streams. So the percentage required from other streams is at least 60%.
  • You must pass the Company Secretary (CS) intermediate examinations administered by the ICSI or the CWA intermediate examinations administered by the ICAI.

How To Become CA After Graduation?

Under the direct entry option, graduate students may enrol in the Intermediate course without taking the CA Foundation examinations. These students must enrol in both CA Intermediate exam groups.

Other than that, the processes to become CA After Graduation are the same and consist of:

  • Pass any group of CA Intermediate exams.
  • Enrol for Practical training after passing any CA Intermediate group.
  • Pass both groups of the CA Intermediate Course.
  • Finish the Articles Training Program (3 years).
  • Register for CA Final Course.
  • Clear both groups of CA Final
  • Application for the ICAI membership

For the November and May periods, eligible candidates must register for the CA Intermediate before March and September. Students may prepare for the CA Intermediate examinations for the eight months they have to study. With eight attempts allowed, the CA Intermediate registration has validation for four years.

Besides the preparation, the candidate must complete the four weeks of the ICITSS course. As soon as a student passes one of the CA Intermediate group exams, they may begin their CA articleship. Students must complete the ITT and OT programs and register for the CA Articleship training. The next and final step after becoming CA after Graduation includes appearing for the CA Finals.

So, one must clear the CA Intermediate groups and the articleship training. Students must additionally submit the CA Final examination form after registering. Apply for ICAI membership after passing both CA final groups. So, this concludes the whole process of becoming a CA in India.

So, the minimum CA Course duration after graduation is 4.5 years. For this, you need to clear every exam in the first attempt.

CA Intermediate Registration Fees For Graduates

The CA Intermediate Registration fees for the direct entry scheme for both groups are Rs 15000 and Rs 11000 for a single group. Further, the CA Inter Student’s Activity Fee is Rs 2000, to be paid only once.

  • The CA Intermediate price for the ITT (Information Technology Training) Program is Rs 6,500, which includes the CA Intermediate Study Materials and tea/refreshment supplied by the ICAI.
  • The OP (Orientation Program) price is Rs 7000/-, which includes Study materials and tea/refreshments supplied by ICAI.
