The 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to start in April. Ahead of the mega competition, a large-scale auction is taking place today (February 18) in Chennai. Auctions start and heat up when more than one team wants to have a particular player. Whichever team fails to bid the highest bid is awarded to the team that bids the most.
That is, if no one bids on a player, he joins the bidder list. Once all players have been bid on, the names of the players who were not bid on will be reconsidered and they will have a chance to join the team in the second round.
As far as the IPL game is concerned, its owner has to spend Rs. 80 crore. This owner does not have to spend the entire budget on the team. However, 75 percent of the amount i.e. Rs. The new IPL rules say he has to spend up to Rs 60 crore. Assuming an agent or owner can spend Rs 80 crore, CSK will spend Rs.
