Jayalalithaa Biography: Jayalalithaa’s real name is Komalavalli. She was born in Mysore, the daughter of Jayaram and Vedavalli. His family is of royal Mysore descent. His grandfather, Jayasamarajendra Udayar, the king of Mysore, who worked as a royal physician in the Mysore court, usually added the word ‘Jaya’ as a prefix in the names of his family members because it reflected their social connection.
Jayalalithaa lost her father when they were two years old. After that, he moved to Bangalore where his mother and maternal grandparents lived. During that short stay in Bangalore, she attended Bishop Cotton Girls’ High School for a few years. He moved to Chennai as his mother got a chance to act on the silver screen.

Jayalalitha Political Career
In 1987, MGR deceased due to a stroke. AIADMK split into two factions, one under MGR’s wife Janaki and another under Jayalalithaa. Janaki was crowned as the CM, however, she could not handle the duties and President rule took place. The party later re-united under Jayalalithaa’s leadership and she became the leader of opposition in 1989. In 1991, for the first time, she became Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. She was five times elected as the CM. On 4 December, she passed away due to a cardiac arrest.

Final Words
Despite the fraud, allegations, and many controversies surrounding the illegal acquisition of government funds and land, his capture and contribution to the people of the state made him come to power three times. During his tenure, he worked actively for the good of the people. He sought to open up several national and international companies to promote industrial development in the state.
