Kamal Haasan was born in Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, the son of D. Srinivasan and Rajalakshmi, a criminal lawyer. Of the four children, Kamal, who was born a shopkeeper, spent a lot of time in it from an early age as he was more interested in arts other than studies. Saruhasan, Chandrahasan, and Nalini Raghu were born with him.
Kamal, their father, was so restrained that he intended to educate his sons well. In his opinion, both of Kamal’s elder brothers studied law, following the example of his father.

In 1978, Kamal Haasan married Vani Ganapathi, married her ten years later, and married actress Sarika. They have two daughters, Shruti Hassan and Akshara. Later, due to her relationship with Simran, Sarika asked Kamal to marry her. He has been living with Gautami since 2005 after breaking up with Sarika in 2002.
Kamal Haasan has won several Indian film awards, including the National Film Awards and the Filmfare Awards. He is the only actor to have starred in a large number of films submitted for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
