Vikram Profile & Career Details
He began his schooling at Montford School in Yercaud, a hill station near Salem. While still in school, he chose to learn many wonderful arts, such as karate and swimming. After successfully completing his schooling, he set out to make his mark on the screen. Because his father Vinod Raj left his hometown of Paramakudi with the desire to act in cinema and fled to Chennai in search of opportunities.
But he was frustrated because he only got opportunities to act in supporting roles and in TV series. This, in turn, provoked a frenzy within Vikram. He was determined to achieve the goal his father had set out to achieve and add pride to him. But, to his liking, his father was the obstacle. Considering that his son should not face the same failure as he did, he sent him to college.
He received his bachelor’s degree in English in 1983 from Loyola College, Chennai. After that, at his father’s request, he rejoined Loyola College for an MBA. But, fate played out differently. He was on his way to college in his two-wheeler when he was involved in an accident and was admitted to hospital. He underwent 23 surgeries so that his leg would not be paralyzed, and he remained in bed for three years.
