Step By Step Santa Claus Drawing
Step 1
The outline for the character must be written initially. Start with the head, helmet, and body. A big rectangle can thus represent the wide stripe on the bottom of the suit. Two little triangles can serve as a representation of the feet. Naturally, a vector drawing program is recommended for this instruction. Continue to the next step once you’re finished.
Step 2
To make it easier to recognize the cartoon figure, we need to add information to the major shapes. Working on the head, draw the mouth, eyes, nose, and pupils.
It’s also possible to add a mustache and a chin line. Last to be drawn are the beard and ears. Next, give the Santa Claus drawing’s suit greater detail (like a large vertical stripe and a belt).
Step 3
After the cartoon character is all drawn, you must now apply color. Let’s start with plain colors to make it simpler for you to grasp how we will move on. Incorporate fresh shapes underneath the contours, then fill them with straightforward hues.

Step 5
Now that you have added a second color to all objects, please make a new layer and use it to draw dark shapes on areas where lighting is not an issue. Take care. Consider the effects and appearance of lighting on the cartoon character’s complete body.
Shadows need to be placed correctly to produce a realistic drawing.
Step 6
Once you’re certain that all the forms have been placed appropriately, select the transparency tool (or the tool used to change the shape’s opacity). While some applications provide stand-alone transparency modification features, other applications use fill tools to achieve a similar result.
Use the proper tool, as shown in the picture to your left, to ensure that all of the black forms created in the previous step are partially hidden.
Step 7
We still need to finish! The intended outcome can be achieved by using shadows carefully. Furthermore, we need to create bright spots that directly result from contact with the light source. To accomplish this, duplicate most forms and then paint the new ones white.
It’s also suggested to make these shapes slightly smaller and to allow a tiny gap between the outlines. Great! Select the same tool as before to play with the opacity of the solid shapes in your illustration.

You must hide the white shapes again, revealing only a portion of them. The black figures were mostly recognizable on the left, but the white shapes must be seen on the right. See the difference?
